Bullpadel Wonder 27 Review: the playability champion
Claudia Fernández plays with a cool head and a magic touch, and the Wonder 27 is her frame refined: a hybrid silhouette, a teardrop in our taxonomy, light at 355 g, with the balance lowered to 25.0 cm and Fibrix faces over a MultiEVA core. The promise is a racket that responds naturally to every movement, and this time the promise survives contact with our table.
The official sheet lists 350–360 g with a 517 cm² head, and our bench reads a soft 45/100 on the stiffness scale. Playability 9.0 is the highest score of its kind among the 176 rackets we have tested, and the Verdict lands eighth overall. This review replaces the preview page at this same address, with the full on-court test now complete.
Lineage
What changes from the Wonder 2026
The redesign is real: the balance drops from 25.8 cm to 25.0 cm, the frame leans further into agility, and the reading of every number changes with it. The distances from our Wonder 2026 page also reflect the evolution of our proprietary algorithm, which now weighs comfort and tolerance more heavily. Read the deltas both ways.
- Faces: Fibrix hybrid fibre with a subtler star-pattern 3D Grain.
- Core: MultiEVA triple-density, absorbent on slow balls.
- Frame: ExoFrame exoskeleton plus the compact Wonder Core.
- Balance: 25.0 cm, down from 25.8 cm last year.
| Parameter | 2026 | 2027 | Δ | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Playability | 8.1 | 9.0 | +0.9 | The composite is the headline: first of all 176 frames we have scored |
| Spin | 7.0 | 7.8 | +0.8 | The star-pattern grain and a fairer reading of the bite |
| Sweet spot | 7.6 | 8.3 | +0.7 | The lower balance widens the effective hitting zone |
| Maneuverability | 8.1 | 8.7 | +0.6 | The balance drops to 25.0 cm and the frame flies |
| Power | 7.2 | 6.4 | -0.8 | The lower balance trades hammer for scalpel; the methodology reads punch soberly |
| Stability | 7.5 | 6.7 | -0.8 | A lighter, lower-balanced frame moves under heavy pace |
| Verdict | 8.4 | 8.7 | +0.3 | Base 8.37, excellence +0.1, consensus +0.2 |
Control and comfort move less than 0.3 and stay off the table. The 2026 page was computed with an earlier version of our algorithm: part of every distance is methodology evolving, not the product changing character.
Defender 8.37 · Hybrid 8.10 · Attacker 7.25: a gap of 1.11 between defence and attack that leaves no doubt about the calling. Playability 9.0 is the highest we have ever recorded. Verdict 8.7, eighth of 176, first among teardrop defenders.
On court
How the Bullpadel Wonder 27 plays
Every ball comes back with interest
Playability 9.0 tops the entire 176-racket database, and one rally explains it: the ball exits on its own, the head arrives early, and defence turns into counterattack without a gear change. Maneuverability 8.7, eighth of 176, keeps the frame airborne in fast hands battles. Sweet spot 8.3, 14th overall, forgives the contact you did not plan. This is what the marketing calls Magic Touch; our table calls it the friendliest frame of the year.
A pillow with a compass
Control 8.4 places the lob on the back glass and the chiquita at the feet of the net rushers, while Comfort 8.4, ninth of 176, wraps the whole experience in a soft, filtered touch that elbows will appreciate for years. The Fibrix faces and the MultiEVA core absorb the slow ball and answer politely to the fast one. Spin 7.8 adds a brushed bite to the víbora when the wrist asks for it.
The overhead pays the toll
Power 6.4 sits 160th of 176, and the smash confirms the address: with a low balance and a soft touch, the frame supplies no free violence, so the arm supplies all of it. Stability 6.7, 174th overall, is the other bill, since the light frame flutters a degree when truly heavy pace arrives. Placement over force, every time: that is the contract, and it is written on the first page.
Shot by shot
Shot by shot
- Baseline: home ground; Playability 9.0 and Control 8.4 turn defence into a launchpad.
- Volleys: Maneuverability 8.7 wins every hands race; the soft touch asks for a firm wrist on blocks.
- Bandeja: depth comes free and repeatable; Spin 7.8 keeps the ball low after the bounce.
- Víbora: brushed contact rewarded; the star-pattern grain grips without grabbing.
- Smash: Power 6.4 means the full arm or nothing; aim for the angle, skip the highlight.
Technology
What do ExoFrame and the Wonder Core actually change?
The ExoFrame is an external skeleton along the lateral frame that raises resistance to twisting without adding swingweight, and the Wonder Core shrinks the heart into a compact pentagonal architecture. The Air React Channel vents the throat for faster acceleration. The stated goal is a frame that feels firm for its weight, and our numbers agree up to a point: the touch is genuinely composed for 355 g, though Stability 6.7 reminds you where the physical ceiling sits.
Faces are Fibrix, the glass-and-carbon hybrid weave behind the comfortable ball exit, over a MultiEVA core whose three densities answer to ball speed. The 3D Grain finish uses a subtler star-shaped relief developed with Claudia for a direct, flatter game, and Vibradrive filters the handle. Custom Weight accepts two plates for small balance shifts. Our stiffness reading is 45/100, the softest of the Pro Line this year.
Player fit
Who it is for and who it is not
The patient builder with a tender elbow
Defender 8.37 wins the table by a distance, and Comfort 8.4 plus Playability 9.0 explain why this frame suits almost everyone who rallies for a living. You construct points, counterattack on the second ball, and want your arm fresh in the third set. Our taxonomy reads a primary Intermediate, and beginners with ambitions are equally welcome.
The finisher who lives above the net
Attacker 7.25 trails the other profiles by more than a point, and Power 6.4 is the lowest reading of this entire 2027 family. If your points end with a flat smash, the Pearl 27 plays that role inside the same Pro Line, with the verdict to back it up.

The verdict
Verdict 8.7: the playability crown finds its head
The arithmetic is transparent: base 8.37 from the winning Defender profile, a +0.1 excellence bonus for the highest Playability score we have ever published, and +0.2 of consensus for a spec sheet and independent measurements that agree everywhere we looked. Eighth of 176 overall, first among teardrop defenders. The Wonder 27 gives back every ball with interest; what it never lends is violence.

Is the Wonder 27 good for players with elbow problems?
It is the friendliest frame of this Pro Line for the arm. Comfort 8.4 ranks ninth of 176, the stiffness reads a soft 45/100 on our scale, and the Fibrix faces with Vibradrive filter most of what reaches the handle.
