StarVie Black Titan Blue 2027 Review: the artillery, repainted

VERDICT 8.1POWER 8.6STABILITY 8.2ATTACKER 7.96

The artillery of the collection: podium power among teardrops, with the bill arriving at the arm. StarVie keeps the hardest recipe in its catalogue and softens one ingredient: the H-Eva Power core turns blue and loses a notch of hardness, while the mold goes hybrid and the 24K Carbon Master face stays. Power 8.6 stands third among the 63 teardrops we have tested, and the 0.57 spread says this frame has one job and knows it.

The spec sheet first. Hybrid outline with a high balance, declared at 350–370 g, and the Dynamic Star system on the throat: two stock stars of 5 g and 7.3 g move the balance, with heavier pieces sold separately. Stiffness reads 75/100 on our bench scale, a step down from the old Titan and still firmly hard territory.

Lineage

What actually changes 2026→2027

The mold is new and the core is softer, and the score gaps against our BlackTitan 2026 review also reflect the evolution of our proprietary scoring algorithm, which now reads control and forgiveness harder. Read the deltas as both.

  • Mold: new hybrid outline; the silhouette leaves the pure diamond family.
  • Face: 24K Carbon Master weave with the 3D rough Spin Boost Tech finish.
  • Core: H-Eva Power in blue, hard density with the edge taken off compared to last year.
  • Frame: Five Sides Tech profile, Anti-Vibe insert, Reactive Holes pattern.
  • Balance: Dynamic Star interchangeable weights, 5 g and 7.3 g in the box.
Parameter 2026 2027 Δ Why
Control 9.2 7.3 -1.9 Mostly methodology: our current algorithm stops rewarding a hard face as free precision
Maneuverability 7.4 7.0 -0.4 High balance on a heavier reading; part product, part methodology
Spin 8.3 7.7 -0.6 The 3D finish bites on worked balls; the algorithm no longer pays for texture alone
Comfort 6.4 6.7 +0.3 The blue H-Eva is measurably kinder; the Anti-Vibe insert does the rest
Verdict 9.0 8.1 -0.9 Base 7.96, no excellence bonus, consensus +0.1

Power, sweetspot, playability and stability stay within the noise band and off the table. The 2026 page was scored with a previous version of our algorithm: most of the gap is our methodology evolving, not a collapse of the product.

Power 8.6 is the third highest reading among the 63 teardrops we have tested, and Stability 8.2 sits seventh in the same group. Attacker 7.96 · Hybrid 7.38 · Defender 7.18: a 0.57 spread that puts this frame among the most specialized charts in our database.

On court

How the StarVie Black Titan Blue 2027 plays

POWER 8.6STABILITY 8.2

The finish shot of the collection

Above the shoulder this frame speaks plainly. The 24K face and the hard blue core turn a full arm into a leaving ball, flat and fast, and the Five Sides Tech profile refuses to twist at full extension. Power 8.6 ranks third among the teardrops we have tested, and Stability 8.2 means the structure holds when the rally gets violent. This is the racket the whole 2027 line measures itself against.

SPIN 7.7CONTROL 7.3

Bite for the víbora, homework for the wrist

The 3D rough finish is pronounced and grabs the ball when the wrist snaps through: Spin 7.7 is earned with technique, and the víbora leaves with real pace off the side wall. Control 7.3 is the other side of a firm face at high balance: placement belongs to players who already own their swing, and the racket reports every shortcut instead of covering it.

MANEUVERABILITY 7.0COMFORT 6.7

The bill arrives at the arm

The weakest columns tell the story. Maneuverability 7.0 sits near the bottom of our database: late recoveries and fast body balls ask for legs that arrive early, every time. Comfort 6.7 is kinder than last year thanks to the softened blue core and the Anti-Vibe insert, but the impact still reaches the elbow with the filter half open. Players with an elbow history should read this card twice.

Shot by shot

Shot by shot

  • Baseline: only for early feet; Maneuverability 7.0 turns late defence into a negotiation.
  • Volleys: real penetration with a short swing; Power 8.6 does the damage here too.
  • Bandeja: the frame does not twist at full reach; Stability 8.2 keeps the depth honest.
  • Víbora: the rough face bites hard when the wrist works; Spin 7.7 rewards the snap.
  • Smash: the finishing shot of the whole collection; Power 8.6 needs no help.

Technology

What does the blue core actually change?

The headline is the H-Eva Power turning blue: same hard family, one notch softer, and on court it reads as a contact that stays firm but stops stinging on the mishit. The 24K Carbon Master face keeps the response ultra direct, and the Five Sides Tech profile plus the Reactive Holes pattern hold the frame square through violent contact. The hope was a bigger jump in kindness; the honest reading is Comfort 6.7, better than the 6.4 of last year and still a hard racket.

The Dynamic Star is the second lever: swap the 5 g stock star for the 7.3 g one and the balance climbs, buying inertia for the smash while trading hand speed in defence. Our advice is to start light and earn the heavier star. The Anti-Vibe insert and the Z-Shock grip complete the package, cleaning part of the vibration that a frame this firm will always produce.

Player fit

Who should buy it, and who shouldn’t

✓ MADE FOR

The left-side finisher with a healthy arm

Attacker 7.96 tops the chart with a 0.77 gap over Defender: this frame has one job. Your overhead mechanics are finished, your elbow has no history, and you want the ball to leave when you say so. Power 8.6 and Stability 8.2 handle the violence; the Dynamic Star lets you choose how much.

✗ NOT FOR

Tender elbows and right-side builders

Comfort 6.7 and Maneuverability 7.0 mean the frame taxes both the joint and the legs. Defender 7.18 is honest about the rest: if you build points from the right side, the Raptor+ 2027 reads kinder in every defensive column. This Titan is a finisher, and it asks to be fed.

The verdict

Verdict 8.1: one job, done hard

The arithmetic is transparent: base 7.96 from the winning Attacker profile, no excellence bonus, +0.1 consensus for a launch campaign whose field signals agree with the spec sheet. The Black Titan Blue 2027 is the most specialized frame of the Super Pro range and the most powerful teardrop StarVie has in the collection. If your left side asks for artillery and your arm can pay the bill, the blue core is the small mercy that makes the choice easier than last year.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the PadelVerdict score for the StarVie Black Titan Blue 2027?

The overall score is 8.1, built from a base of 7.96 and a +0.1 consensus modifier, with no excellence bonus. Profiles: Attacker 7.96 / Hybrid 7.38 / Defender 7.18, a 0.57 spread that defines a pure specialist. Power 8.6 is the third highest reading among the 63 teardrops we have tested.

What is the difference between the Black Titan Blue 2027 and the BlackTitan 2026?

The mold goes hybrid and the H-Eva Power core, now blue, loses a notch of hardness. The verdict moves from 9.0 to 8.1, but our 2026 page was scored with a previous version of our algorithm, so most of the gap reflects an evolving methodology, not a collapse of the product.

What is the actual weight of the Black Titan Blue 2027?

The declared window is 350–370 g, and we have no independent scale reading yet, so treat that range as the reference. The Dynamic Star system adds 5 g or 7.3 g on the throat depending on the star you mount, and heavier pieces are sold separately.

Is the Black Titan Blue 2027 good for intermediate players?

Only the ambitious ones. Our taxonomy reads Intermediate with an Advanced primary, and the reasons are Maneuverability 7.0 and Comfort 6.7: the frame asks for early feet, finished mechanics and a healthy elbow. Ambition is welcome; shortcuts are reported.

Which rival makes sense if the Black Titan Blue 2027 feels too demanding?

The Drop Shot Conqueror Attack 2.0 2026 keeps the same Verdict 8.1 with a friendlier bill, though it gives back 0.5 points of Power. For the full parameter map before you commit, open the head-to-head with the Oxdog Hyper Pro Plus 2.0 2026.
