Bullpadel Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 Review: the Vertex learns the right side
Every family has a quiet sibling, and in the Vertex 05 line this is the one. The Hybrid 27 takes the same platform as the headline Vertex, bends it into a drop silhouette and lowers the balance, and walks onto the right side of the court without asking for attention. Control 8.2 and Comfort 7.7 are the pitch; Power 6.9 is the honest fine print.
The spec sheet first. The face is X-Tend Carbon 12K with a rough Top Spin texture over a triple-density MultiEVA core, the feel at impact a friendly medium. The declared weight sits at 365–375 g, with no independent measurement published yet: we treat it as a 370 g racket until our scale says otherwise. The balance is a moderate 25 cm and stiffness reads 55/100 on our bench scale.
Control 8.2 ranks in the top third of the 184 rackets we have tested, while Power 6.9 sits near the bottom of the same table. Defender 7.97 · Hybrid 7.77 · Attacker 7.41: a 0.56 gap that gives this frame its job description.
On court
How the Bullpadel Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 plays
Built for the patient rally
The drop shape and the 25 cm balance keep the head low and ready: lobs come off clean, chiquitas land short on purpose and the defensive dig arrives on time. Control 8.2 is the spine of this frame, and Maneuverability 8.2 is its twin: in fast net exchanges the racket is where the hand wants it, when the hand wants it. Players who win by construction will feel at home within a game.
A kind face, an honest sweet spot
The 12K carbon reads softer than the 3K of the family flagships, and the triple-density core filters what is left: Comfort 7.7 is a friendly figure for a Vertex. Sweetspot 7.9 means off-centre contact stays playable, though the zone is honest rather than huge. This is the card the elbow reads before deciding, and the news is good: two long sessions a week leave no invoice behind.
The smash is a job, not a gift
Power 6.9 sits near the bottom of our database, and above the shoulder the frame confirms the number: flat smashes need full commitment and a long swing to leave the court. The Top Spin texture grips well on slow balls, so the víbora and the sliced bandeja carry real work, and Spin 7.4 is honest company. Bring your own acceleration and the frame cooperates; wait for help and none arrives.
Shot by shot
Shot by shot
- Baseline: home turf; Control 8.2 and a low, ready head turn defence into patient construction.
- Volleys: precise and quick to position; Maneuverability 8.2 shows, though the finish needs a firm wrist.
- Bandeja: deep and manageable; the frame stays quiet at full extension.
- Víbora: Spin 7.4 works when the wrist does; the texture grips slow balls honestly.
- Smash: the tax on the whole package; Power 6.9 asks for a long swing and full legs.
Technology
What does the drop silhouette actually change?
Same skeleton as the flagship Vertex, different posture. The drop shape moves the hitting zone toward the centre of the face and the 25 cm balance keeps the head low, which is where Control 8.2 and Maneuverability 8.2 come from: geometry doing quiet work. The Curv:Aktiv twisted profile and the Air Power channel keep the swing fast, and a 531 cm² face gives the sweet spot room to breathe without stretching it into diamond territory.
The touch package explains the second headline. X-Tend Carbon 12K is more elastic than the 3K of the harder siblings, the triple-density MultiEVA puts a soft layer between two firm ones, and Vibradrive with the Hesacore grip cleans up the handle. Our elbow reads Comfort 7.7 with a stiffness of 55/100, friendly territory for the family. The rough Top Spin texture finishes the face: honest grip on slow balls, no drama on fast ones.
Player fit
Who should buy it, and who shouldn’t
The right-side builder who wins rallies, not highlights
Defender 7.97 wins the chart and the 0.56 gap to Attacker settles the identity. You live on the right, you build with lobs and chiquitas, you finish only when the ball begs for it. Control 8.2 and Comfort 7.7 support two long sessions a week without an invoice for your elbow. Intermediates growing their game will find a frame that grows with them.
The left-side finisher
Power 6.9 is the fine print: near the bottom of the 184 frames we have tested, and honest about it. If your game plan ends above the shoulder, this racket will ask for a long swing and strong legs every single time. The Vertex 05 Geo 27 keeps the family badge and adds real punch, in exchange for a firmer face and a higher balance.

The verdict
Verdict 8.1: the Vertex that points to the right side
The arithmetic is transparent: base 7.97 from the winning Defender profile, no excellence bonus, +0.1 consensus for specs that agree across every channel we checked. Nothing is hidden, nothing is gifted. The Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 is the family badge for players who build rather than finish, with a kind face and an honest ceiling. If your rallies are long and your elbow matters, this Vertex speaks your language.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the PadelVerdict score for the Bullpadel Vertex 05 Hybrid 27?
The overall score is 8.1, built from a base of 7.97 and a +0.1 consensus modifier, with no excellence bonus. Profiles: Defender 7.97 / Hybrid 7.77 / Attacker 7.41, a 0.56 gap that defines the frame. Control 8.2 ranks in the top third of the 184 rackets we have tested.
What is the difference between the Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 and the Vertex 05 27?
Same skeleton, opposite posture. The flagship Vertex 05 27 keeps the diamond outline and scores 8.2 with real punch; the Hybrid bends the platform into a drop, lowers the balance to 25 cm and wins Verdict 8.1 through Control 8.2 and Comfort 7.7. One finishes points, the other builds them.
What is the actual weight of the Vertex 05 Hybrid 27?
The declared range is 365–375 g and no independent measurement exists yet: every figure in circulation is manufacturer data, ours included. Given the moderate 25 cm balance, treat it as a 370 g racket in practice, and budget 5–8 g more with an overgrip. We will update this page once our own unit hits the scale.
Is the Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 good for intermediate players?
Yes, this is its home crowd. Our taxonomy tags it beginner-intermediate with an Intermediate primary: Playability 7.9, Comfort 7.7 and a sweet spot that forgives the daily miss. Strong beginners can grow into it without a detour.
Which rival makes sense if the Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 feels too soft?
The Siux Electra Elite 2026 adds 1.2 points of power at Verdict 8.2, trading away some of the sweet spot. If you want the full parameter map first, open the head-to-head with the Neuron 27, the family rival with Control 9.2.
