Bullpadel Hack 05 27 Review: ten years of power, a gentler bill

VERDICT 8.3POWER 9.1STABILITY 8.4ATTACKER 8.13

Ten years of Hack, and Bullpadel celebrates the only way it knows: more carbon, more speed, more Paquito Navarro. The Hack 05 27 keeps the diamond outline and the high balance, then works on the edges where the old frame used to bite back. Power stays the headline act; this time, comfort finally joins the cast.

The spec sheet first. The declared weight sits at 365–375 g, with no independent measurement published yet: we treat it as a 375 g racket until our scale says otherwise. The face is Tricarbon 18K over a triple-density MultiEVA core, the balance a lofty 26.5 cm, and stiffness reads 72/100 on our bench scale. This review replaces our preview page on the same address, with the full test now done.

Lineage

What changes from the Hack 04

The anniversary edition is a real rebuild: a triple-density core, a new ExoAir heart and a smarter hole pattern. The score gaps against our Hack 04 2026 review also reflect the evolution of our proprietary scoring algorithm, which now weighs mobility and tolerance harder. Read the deltas as both.

  • Core: double-density MultiEVA → triple-density MultiEVA, with a softer inner layer.
  • Heart: ExoAir frame joined to the Hack Core, with an Air Power channel below.
  • Holes: Smart Holes pattern, drilled from impact simulations.
  • Grip: Hesacore and Vibradrive return, now paired with Ease Vibe inserts.
Parameter 2026 2027 Δ Why
Power 8.6 9.1 +0.5 Triple-density core and ExoAir heart free up ball speed
Comfort 6.0 6.8 +0.8 Softer inner layer plus Ease Vibe at the handle
Maneuverability 7.2 6.9 -0.3 Balance stays at 26.5 cm; our current algorithm weighs mobility harder
Stability 8.7 8.4 -0.3 Part product, part methodology: torsion readings shift
Verdict 8.2 8.3 +0.1 Base 8.13, excellence +0.1, consensus +0.1

Control, spin, sweetspot and playability move less than 0.3 and stay off the table. The 2026 page was scored with a previous version of our algorithm: part of every gap is our methodology evolving, not a leap by the product.

Power 9.1 is the fifth-highest score among the 176 rackets we have tested; Comfort 6.8 sits eight tenths above the Hack 04 we scored this spring. Attacker 8.13 · Hybrid 7.37 · Defender 7.14: a 0.99 gap that leaves no doubt about the job description.

On court

How the Bullpadel Hack 05 27 plays

POWER 9.1STABILITY 8.4

Overheads end rallies on the spot

The mass sits high and the Tricarbon face answers with a hard, fast rebound: flat smashes leave early and keep accelerating through contact. There is no trampoline to manage, only timing to respect. Stability 8.4 is the silent partner, because the ExoAir heart and the reinforced throat refuse to twist when contact drifts an inch off centre. Power 9.1 ranks fifth among the 176 frames we have tested, and above the shoulder it feels like exactly that.

SPIN 7.6CONTROL 7.3

Víbora bites, bandeja wants commitment

The 3D Grain face grips when the wrist works: the víbora kicks off the glass and the sliced bandeja stays low and heavy. Lazy contact gets nothing for free. Control 7.3 is an honest figure for a diamond balanced at 26.5 cm: blocks and chiquitas land on target when preparation is early, and drift long when it is not. Spin 7.6 lives in the same parish, real bite without being the headline. Placement players pay a small tax; power players never notice one.

MANEUVERABILITY 6.9COMFORT 6.8

Quick hands still pay a toll

Maneuverability 6.9 is the tax on all that mass: in fast net exchanges the head arrives on time only if the swing started early. The sweet spot is compact and high, and it tells the truth about every contact. Comfort 6.8 is the good news of this generation, eight tenths kinder than the Hack 04, though still a firm racket by any honest standard. Playability 6.8 closes the picture: this frame asks for finished mechanics and a shoulder with no history.

Shot by shot

Shot by shot

  • Baseline: defence is workable, never free; Control 7.3 holds with compact swings and early feet.
  • Volleys: heavy and penetrating when the head leads, late when it does not; Maneuverability 6.9 collects the toll.
  • Bandeja: the frame does not twist at full extension; Stability 8.4 keeps depth on a leash.
  • Víbora: Spin 7.6 bites when the wrist snaps; the 3D Grain rewards technique instead of replacing it.
  • Smash: the headline act; Power 9.1 sends flat, fast exits with no trampoline effect.

Technology

What does the ExoAir heart actually change?

The new heart pairs the ExoAir frame with the Hack Core, a double bridge that stiffens the throat without adding dead weight, and the Air Power channel keeps swing speed alive under the high balance. The effect shows in our numbers: Stability 8.4 with a 26.5 cm balance is engineering, not luck. The Custom Weight plates can push the balance higher still; our advice is to leave them in the box, because Maneuverability 6.9 has no margin to give back.

The comfort stack is the real revision. Triple-density MultiEVA puts a softer layer between two firm ones, Ease Vibe inserts filter the face and Vibradrive plus the Hesacore grip clean up the handle. Our elbow reads Comfort 6.8, a clear step from the 6.0 of the Hack 04, still firm by any honest standard. The 3D Grain texture and the Smart Holes pattern complete the package: bite on slow balls, air through the fast ones.

Player fit

Who should buy it, and who shouldn’t

✓ MADE FOR

The advanced finisher with a fresh shoulder

Attacker 8.13 tops the chart and the 0.99 gap to Defender settles the identity. You play on the left, you finish above the shoulder, you prepare early because your game already taught you to. Power 9.1 and Stability 8.4 give you the loudest overhead in the 2027 line. Your elbow has no history and your technique does not ask the frame for permission.

✗ NOT FOR

Intermediates, counterpunchers, tender elbows

Defender 7.14 is the honest floor: reactive digs arrive before the head does. Maneuverability 6.9 punishes late hands and Playability 6.8 assumes finished mechanics. Comfort 6.8 is improved, not soft. Anyone still building a game will score more points with the Vertex 05 27, the sibling that trades half a point of power for the best control among diamonds.

The verdict

Verdict 8.3: the Hack grows a heart and keeps the hammer

The arithmetic is transparent: base 8.13 from the winning Attacker profile, +0.1 excellence bonus for a Power score of 9.1, +0.1 consensus for specs that agree across every channel we checked. Nothing is hidden, nothing is gifted. The Hack 05 27 is the most complete Hack we have scored, still a specialist’s tool with a specialist’s bill. If your overhead game is already a weapon, this anniversary edition is the upgrade that respects your arm a little more.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the PadelVerdict score for the Bullpadel Hack 05 27?

The overall score is 8.3, built from a base of 8.13, a +0.1 excellence bonus and a +0.1 consensus modifier. Profiles: Attacker 8.13 / Hybrid 7.37 / Defender 7.14, a 0.99 spread that defines the racket. Power 9.1 ranks fifth among the 176 frames we have tested; Maneuverability 6.9 explains the admission ticket.

What is the difference between the Hack 05 27 and the Hack 04 2026?

Comfort climbs from 6.0 to 6.8 and Power from 8.6 to 9.1, while Maneuverability dips by 0.3. Our 2026 page was scored with a previous version of our algorithm, so part of every gap reflects an evolving methodology, not a sudden leap by the product.

What is the actual weight of the Hack 05 27?

The declared range is 365–375 g and no independent measurement exists yet: every figure in circulation is manufacturer data, ours included. Given the 26.5 cm balance, treat it as a 375 g racket in practice, and budget 5–8 g more with an overgrip. We will update this page once our own unit hits the scale.

Is the Hack 05 27 good for intermediate players?

Rarely. Our taxonomy tags it intermediate-advanced with an Advanced primary: Playability 6.8, a compact sweet spot and a 26.5 cm balance ask for finished mechanics. A strong intermediate can grow into the Vertex 05 27 first, then revisit this frame a season later.

Which rival makes sense if the Hack 05 27 feels too demanding?

The Head Coello Motion 2026 gives back 1.3 points of maneuverability and four tenths of comfort at the same Verdict 8.3. If the arm is the concern instead, the head-to-head with the Maxx Hype 2026 shows the full parameter map before you commit.
